What is IASHINGTON?
Iashington represents an international conference, organized by AIESEC
Iasi (Romania), whose purpose is to bring 115 participants from
different countries, connecting them around the idea of
multiculturalism and professional growth and development.
How can I join?
To participate in this conference, please fill out the application form from the Sign Up section. Application deadline is on the 15th July 2009. Details of the fee, accommodation, meals and sessions can be found in the same section.

For delegates outside E.U.
AIESEC Iasi is legally responsible for your stay in Romania. Although we don't doubt
your intentions, we recently had very serious problems with trainees from a country
outside E.U., which came to Romania, on a project AIESEC organized,
stayed for the two months of the project, and then did not leave back home as their
VISA demanded, but instead they are now illegally somewhere in Europe, and we were
finned 2000 Euros for each.
Because of this incident, we now have a policy for all the foreign delegates
outside E.U., for them to sign a declaration on their own account, that they will
leave from Romania back to their home country, after the VISA period expires, and
assume responsibility in case they don't or can't. As we understand the procedure
is easy, we were informed that you can do this at the Romanian Consulate in your
country, and legalize it at a notary. We're sorry that this is necessary, but, we
are sure you can understand the legal risk's we are exposing to.

The conference fee covers accommodation and food for the duration of the conference.

3. Why can people outside of AIESEC join?
First off because we know AIESEC offers many amazing opportunities, but mostly only for AIESEC members and it was our choice to externalize this conference.
Secondly Iashington approaches themes of global inters, and reunites acclaimed speakers, from which anyone can learn.
